Egyptian Goose

The final part of today’s journey involved crossing the Kafue River in order to reach our destination for the night, Kaingu Safari Lodge. We unloaded the vehicle and put our bags on the boat for the crossing. There was still an hour of daylight so the boatman took us to see the wildlife along the river. It was good to see a genuinely wild Egyptian Goose, a species introduced to the UK and sometimes seen in my local park.
