Adonis Blue

The Adonis Blue butterly Lysandra bellargus is a widespread species found across much of Europe with an altitude range up to 2000 metres. Its habitat is generally dry and grassy, often amongst scrub. It was photographed on a track through grassy slopes at around 1700 metres above sea level. Source: Collins Butterflies of Britain and Europe (1997) page 133.
