Blue-headed Coucal

Coucals are large birds of the cuckoo family and are found across Asia and Africa and into Australasia. They can often be heard but tend to be much more difficult to see preferring to stay in a bush or dense undergrowth. This bird was found in an area of farm bush and was one of a pair which displayed well on this occasion.
