Blue-winged Kookaburra

Papua New Guinea is a place that I had wanted to visit for some time in order to see some of its remarkable wildlife and especially the birds. With over 300 endemic species, it is a mecca for bird watchers and wildlife photographers. Not all the birds are endemic to the islands and this Blue-winged Kookaburra can also be found in northern Australia.
