Bornean Orangutan adult female

Probably the most familiar of Borneo’s incredible diversity of mammals. It would have been great to photograph a genuinely wild creature and we did see one along the river at Kinabatangan a few days later at dusk building a nest for the night. This adult female had probably been rescued as an infant and had become habituated to humans.
