California Ground Squirrel

The previous day, we had driven north from Point Reyes to Trinidad in heavy rain. Our hotel, overlooking the Pacific Ocean was wonderful and we were able to watch the passage of seabirds from our room. Today, the weather improved and we drove north to Crescent City near the Oregon border.
