Coppersmith Barbet

Coppersmith Barbet Megalaima haemacephala is possibly the most common Asian Barbet often identified by its repetitive and continuous tonk-tonk-tonk-tonk… call. It is found in deciduous forests, parks, gardens and cultivations and a pair was calling throughout the many hours that I spent in the park.
