It was a wonderful experience to live among Kangaroos for a week. They visited the grasslands around the house several times each day beginning at dawn. Before venturing into the grasslands and forests on foot for the first time, I was sure to ask the neighbours about the dangers of Kangaroos. They gave me a few hints about what to do in the event of a confrontation but made the point that if you walk slowly, the Kangaroos will remain where they are or more likely, hop quietly away. This proved to be my experience although I was slightly nervous when coming face to face with them for the first few days.
