Firecrest is an uncommon visitor to Kelsey Park, Beckenham and is seen perhaps once or twice a year. I was attempting to photograph Goldcrests and realised later when I was processing the image that I had taken a shot of a Firecrest. This Firecrest had moved in coniferous trees towards Manor Way although was in a low bush at the point that I photographed it. From a UK perspective, Firecrest is a migrant species although a bird this late in the year is perhaps overwintering in the UK. I will try to find another and replace this rather poor photo.
