Great Egret

There were a large number of Great Egret Ardea alba on the edge of the mangroves. We were travelling in a moving boat and the Egrets tended to fly ahead of the boat so I was lucky to be able to get this silhouette photo adjacent to the boat. Great Egret is a very widely distributed species which can be found in the Americas, Europe and Africa and as well as Asia.
