Greylag Goose on the nest

The winter storms had brought down trees and branches which in turn had reduced the available number of nest sites in the local Park. This was a Grey Herons’ nest in previous years but this year, both Greylag and Egyptian Geese fought over it. The Greylags appear to have won.
