Little Egret

Little Egret Egretta garzetta is a very common species with a world range which includes Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. It was a vagrant to the UK until about 20 years ago but can now be seen anywhere along the south coast where it is a breeding species and is sometimes seen in London parks. Its yellow feet often help to identify the species but on this occasion, this Little Egret’s feet are mostly obscured by thick mud.
