I have always found it difficult to get close to birds of prey and they usually fly before one gets within photographic range. Despite appearances, this Long-crested Eagle was not in a ‘Bird Park’ nor in a museum but was standing on a post next to the roadside. We stopped our vehicle very close to the perch and wound the window down slowly. The bird posed for a series of photos.
