Monarch Butterfly

We stopped at the Alfred Molera State Park and found a trail which led to the ocean. This passed through a woodland area and into a more open area where we were delighted to find a large number of Monarch butterflies in the bushes. Presumably, this is on the butterflies’ annual migration route north.
