New Guinea Crocodile

The trip back to Kiunga took several hours with few photographic opportunities except for this rather splendid crocodile loafing at the edge of the water. I was told that it is a New Guinea Crocodile although given the proximity to Australia, I would expect it to be similar to the dangerous creatures found around the coasts of northern and eastern Australia.
