Early the following morning after arrival in Papua New Guinea, we set off to the area known as Brown River. This is a very good birding area along a main road which goes through the forest. Actually, with 90% of the country still forested, just about every road we travelled on goes through forest. This particular road was metalled and although there was little traffic, vehicles were driven very quickly and didn’t slow down just because there were people in the road with telescopes.
