Protea

I believe that Protea flowers are native to the Western Cape of South Africa. They had been grown in farms in Zimbabwe but many of these farms had been destroyed and the plants burnt during the years of oppression. A few small areas with Protea flowers still remain at Seldomseen Cottages.
