Sacred Kingfisher

Sacred Kingfisher

Walindi Resort has wonderful accommodation – a small house for each person in fact – and fantastic food. There are also some good birds to see in the grounds if you get tired of sitting around the swimming pool and this Kingfisher is no exception. It was identified at the time as a Collared Kingfisher, a similar looking species although I always felt that it was a Sacred Kingfisher and having studied the field guides again, still believe it to be this species.
