Sooty Oystercatchers

The middle part of the day was spent on a boat ride along the coast to the south of Bruny Island. I imagined that I would have plenty of opportunity to photograph the passing albatrosses but I spent most of the time soaking wet, freezing cold and trying to protect my camera from the elements. I never have been very good on boats but this was worse than usual. Fortunately, we managed to slow down on a few occasions such as when we saw this pair of beautiful Sooty Oystercatchers.
