Later that afternoon, we took a boat ride deeper into the rainforest and along some smaller rivers. The highlight for me was a sighting of one of three Crowned Pigeon species found in Papua New Guinea. Although the light was fading and the bird was partially obscured in the tree, I feel that it is worth adding the picture here as it is a rarely photographed bird.
