Despite it being very dark in the reeds with a small bird which didn’t really come into the open, we were able to watch it for 20 minutes or more and take a few passable pictures. This was by far the best views that I have had of this species, one which is very rare in the UK and which doesn’t normally like to venture far from its dense habitat.
