Streak-eared Bulbul Pycnonotus blandfordi was a surprise bird to find in the Sun Rot Fai Park near Chatuchak Market Bangkok. The identification took some time as Birds of south-east Asia by Craig Robson portrays this species with a pale eye whereas the few birds which I saw all had dark eyes. Perhaps there are different subspecies.
See Suan Rot Fai for further details of this good birding and general wildlife location. It is a hidden gem close to the chaos and confusion of Chatuchak Market.
