Another of the uncommon species at Melaleuca, this Striated Fieldwren posed for a series of photos. I overexposed this one slightly in order to give a Christmas card effect. Whilst I was taking the photos, the pilot ran over to say that we would be leaving soon, flushing a Ground Parrot on the way. We didn’t see the Ground Parrot unfortunately having tried to find them all afternoon. The flight back was very bumpy as we travelled straight across the tops of the mountain range landing at Bruny Island in a fierce cross wind.
