Sunrise over Mount Hagen

The journey from the Tari Valley to Mount Hagen is not far by road but the uneven surfaces, deep potholes and diversions meant that it was better to fly to Port Moresby for a connection back to the mountains. It was frustrating to arrive after dark however. I woke up very early the following morning to enjoy this view of the sunrise over Mount Hagen from the balcony of Kumul Lodge, our accommodation for three nights.
