Swynnerton’s Robin is another species found only in the highlands of eastern Zimbabwe and western Mozambique. We had searched for a sighting of this bird in its forest habitat for a couple of days. On this occasion, three of us were tracking a bird by following the sound of its call as it made its way up to higher ground within the forest. We were nearly at the top of the forest and back to the car park when the bird shot across the track onto its nest.
