View towards the Drakensburg Mountains

The Blue Swallow Reserve has a good selection of uncommon bird species but not the Blue Swallows which are now extirpated at this site and seem to be declining at many sites in South Africa. Our main focus here was Striped Flufftail which we heard early this morning but it did not emerge from dense vegetation. (This is a common story with all Flufftail species). The Reserve has great views in the early morning across to the Drakensberg mountains.
