Wapiti (Elk)

The Elk can be easily seen from the main highway running south from Crescent City towards Trinidad at Elk Meadow, a beautiful spot to watch them. Please remember that Elk are wild animals and though they may appear tame they can turn aggressive if threatened. It will be best to stay in your vehicle and use it as a hide to view the animals.
