White-tailed Eagle juvenile

This massive bird came to inspect us on the frozen wastes of the lava field. Surprisingly, it approached so close that it became difficult to capture the whole bird in the frame of the camera. The photographic opportunity was too good to miss however despite freezing fingers on the shutter and a near dead camera battery.
