Whitehead’s Trogon adult female

We had not been on the Liwagu Trail for long when we saw this adult female Whitehead’s Trogon sitting quietly on a branch above the stream. The spectacular male bird was further back in a wooded area and didn’t provide as good a photo opportunity. Everyone in the group had excellent scope views of both birds, one of the most desirable and difficult species to see in the National Park.
