Ruddy Turnstone
A few Ruddy Turnstone were seen at Oare Marshes today. I sat near the edge of the mud and this bird was quite happy to come close to the camera in order to forage for food in the seaweed. This Ruddy Turnstone is an adult bird in non-breeding plumage.
