Back on dry land, I met a very nice young English woman who was in charge of the boats so I had a bit of a moan about oceanic safety, a subject on which I now possessed a certain level of expertise. She sounded sympathetic but I doubt if anything changed as a result of our discussion. Once I had dried out, I returned to the main task of finding some new birds and was pleased to see several species in the dead trees above my cabin, actually villa would have been a better description.
