Pheasant Coucal

Pheasant Coucal

Although cars were  few and far between, perhaps one every five minutes, this Pheasant Coucal, a bird which spends most of its time deep in bushes, flew across the main road straight into the side of a vehicle. Fortunately, the bird was still alive when we carried it off the road and it recovered sufficiently to be released back into the bushes.
