The flight of Eurasian Crag Martin, in common with its other family members, is fast with constant changes of angle and direction. I stood on the edge of a cliff with my camera pointed vertically upwards in the hope of one flying through the frame. After an hour, I noticed that one of the birds was hovering and therefore was in an almost stationary position in space. I focused the camera on the bird and took a few shots which at least show the key ID features and some sunlight showing through the primaries.
