Baton Blue Pseudophilotes baton is a widespread butterfly species with a range from northern Portugal across southern and central Europe. It prefers dry, grassy and flowery places, sheltered slopes and rocky gullies all of which habitat were in the vicinity of this photograph. The butterfly is sitting in sunshine on an Autumn Crocus.
