Stripe-throated Bulbul

Stripe-throated Bulbul Pycnonotus finlaysoni was recorded on three separate days in Thailand and this was our first and only sighting in the Kaeng Krachan National Park. The key identification features of this species, the yellow head streaks and yellow vent can be seen clearly in this photo. The dark eye and lores with yellow streaking on the forecrown as well as the location are indicative of the subspecies P.f.eous.

Stripe-throated Bulbul is found in Cambodia, China, Laos, Malaysia, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests and subtropical or tropical moist montane forests.
