Eurasian Blackcap adult female

2017 appears to be an excellent year for Blackcaps and a pair is breeding either in our garden or an adjacent garden. In the almost complete absence of rain in the past four weeks, the pair has visited the garden regularly to bathe in or drink from the bird bath. The visits are normally in the early morning or the late afternoon, which is when this photo was taken.

It was getting quite dark which resulted in camera settings of 1/250th second at f5.6 and ISO 4,000.
