Puku

This is a young male Puku Kobus vardonii, a member of the Kob family. He is probably a second year old judging from his horn size and shape and is a grazer and roughage feeder. The average adult male is about 79cm at shoulder height and weighs around 74kg. This information was provided by Frank Willems of the Kasanka Trust and one of our guides on parts of this trip.
