Today was the start of a long trip by road to the far north-west corner of Zambia. The trip can be done in two long days on the main road via Lusaka, the capital. Our guide decided that we would take the route through the national parks which would take longer but give us much better wildlife viewing opportunities. Dickinson’s Kestrel perched by the roadside was certainly a highlight of the first morning.
