Red-collared Babbler

Red-collared Babbler

Our final morning in Nyungwe was spent on the trails around Uwinke. We had agreed that our transport to take us back to Kigali would leave at 13:00 so it gave us a final few hours to find one of the birding highlights of Nyungwe, a Red-collared Babbler. At about 12:50, we heard  a few birds and quickly spotted three in dense vegetation near the track. There was just time for a photograph before returning to the main road and vehicle for a slightly delayed departure.
