African Barred Owlet

This African Barred Owlet was calling before dawn outside my room. It was high up in the trees but flew to a branch from which there was a clear line of sight vertically above me. The photograph was taken in torchlight and for the more technically minded, the camera was hand held with a setting of ISO 6400.
