Barn Swallow juvenile

Twenty or so juvenile Barn Swallows were perched on branches at the edge of the pond whilst the adults were swooping down for a drink. The birds looked in good condition and were preparing for a six thousand mile flight to South Africa, something I’m sure they don’t realise yet.
