A short taxi ride from the hotel in Kigali was an area of parkland, trees, scrub and lakes which looked promising for a few hours bird watching and it proved to be so. We asked the taxi driver to wait while we explored a trail along a lake which led into an area with dense bushes. This turned out to be well worthwhile when we came close to a large feeding party of Black-headed Weavers including this attractive male bird.
