The journey from Yosemite to Point Reyes on the 13th was bad. The snow around Yosemite changed to heavy rain as we reached a lower altitude and this continued as we drove across the Bay area. Fortunately, our accommodation in Inverness was warm and comfortable. It was still raining heavily the following morning but a stop at the Park Headquarters gave us our first sighting of California Quails.
