Common Gull

An adult Common Gull in non-breeding (winter) plumage on the main lake at Kelsey Park, Beckenham. There were three such birds on the lake today spending much of their time chasing the abundant Black-headed gulls. This Common Gull took an opportunity to rest on the water in the warm autumnal sunlight.
