Eurasian Curlew numbers have been declining and there were few of this species at Oare Marshes. This Eurasian Curlew was photographed flying fast along the mud flats before it settled on the mud to feed. The photograph was taken at some distance but the sunlight on the wings and tail has highlighted some of the interesting feather markings of a Eurasian Curlew.
