Grauer’s Warbler

Grauer’s Warbler

A not uncommon Albertine Rift endemic but a species which is very difficult to see and which is rarely photographed. It is best detected by call. It was skuling in the vegetation along the main road through Nyungwe in fading light. Its scientific name is Graueria vittata but its taxonomic status is uncertain. The paintings in field guides do not seem to be an accurate representation of this species.
