Great Crested Grebe juvenile

Great Crested Grebe juvenile

The clear water of Lake Geneva starts in the mountains as the Rhone Glacier and there is a plentiful supply of fish by the time it reaches Geneva itself. The adult Great Crested Grebe was diving for fish to feed this juvenile which on occasions dived to find its own food. Presumably, the Great Crested Grebe nested nearby but we saw no obvious places for a nest among the yachts.
