Grauer’s Broadbill

Grauer’s Broadbill

One of the main reasons for visiting the site was to see this Albertine Rift endemic, Grauer’s (also know as African Green) Broadbill. This is a little known species and hard to see outside of the Congo. It was known to nest in the area and stayed a long way from us hence this rather distant view of the bird.
