Small parties of Grey-eyed Bulbul Iole propinqua were seen on two successive days in the Khao Yai National Park, fifteen birds in total. Its main habitat is tropical broad leaved evergreen forest up to 1,500 metres. It is a fairly nondescript species with light brown upperparts, yellowish-buff underparts with a pale chin and a pale eye.
Grey-eyed Bulbul is classified as Least Concern and its range includes Cambodia, China, Laos, Burma, Thailand, and Vietnam.
