Miombo Wren-Warbler

Miombo Wren-Warbler

The taxonomy of the Wren-Warblers is complex and IOC considers there to be four species. They are perhaps easiest to separate by range and the only one of these which is found in Rwanda is Miombo (sometimes known as Pale) Wren-Warbler Calamonastes undosus. The bird was feeding in bushes close to the main road to the lodge and gave us excellent views for several minutes.
